The CIO 2011 Awards were given out by CIO Turkey Magazine to IT executives who generate high profit in their organizations through the innovative use of information technologies. During the ceremony, TAV IT General Manager and TAV Airports CIO (Chief Information Officer) Binnur Onaran received the CIO 2011 Award.
Organized for the second time this year, the CIO 2011 Awards were distributed to IT executives who generate high profit in their organizations through the innovative use of information technologies while increasing competitiveness, optimizing work flow, achieving growth and improving customer relations. During the awards ceremony held on Tuesday December 22nd 2011 at Lütfi Kirdar Convention & Exhibition Center, TAV IT General Manager and TAV Airports CIO, Binnur Onaran succeeded in being chosen amongst the most successful CIOs of 2011, with the successful projects she has overseen and with the ROTA (RMS) project, presented as a sample project, and receiving the CIO 2011 Award.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, at which a total of 200 CIOs of the leading companies of the sector were competing, Onaran said “Handing in the most important assets, which are information, to CIOs; they play a key role within the corporations. I am glad to be the CIO of my corporation, on behalf of my general manager duties. The CIO Awards, which have been organized by CIO Turkey Magazine for two years, in fact provide a platform for CIOs to meet and share their strategies and experiences. I am much honored to be in this forum with my colleagues and to receive this important award.”
Published in nearly 40 countries, CIO Magazine has also been published in Turkey with an IDG license as a part of the Dünya Aktüel Co. of the Dünya Group of Companies since March 2010. Organized by CIO Turkey Magazine, which is delivered to 10,000 IT managers, the CIO Awards are selected according to the evaluation of jury members after the applications pass through a pre-election process.
